I am pleased to announce that we are bringing Dino Disco to this year’s Tulagi (formerly Boulder Roots) Music Festival (@boulderrootsmusicfest) at Mountain Sun (@mountainsunpub)!

For the last several years, Red Tail Sound has partnered with Boulder’s beloved Jeff & Paige (@jeffandpaige) to host Dino Disco at Boulder Creek Fest’s Creek Side for Kids stage. It’s so exciting to bring the party to Tulagi and Mountain Sun for the first time!

This is an all ages show! Kids and grownups alike have been known to get down to the Mesozoic sound of the Superstar DJ Duck La Rock! How could they not, with Pam the TRex, Pickles the Pteranodon, and our as-yet-unnamed triceratops burning up the dance floor?

Come on down to the Junkyard Social Club (@junkyardsocialclub) on Friday, August 14 for a very special edition of our all-ages happy hour!

I’ll be joined by two of my DJ students — known to the dance music cognoscenti as White Rabbit and Channel — for a Red Tail Sound student showcase!

We’ll also be joined by April (@leeaprstudios) of Crafty Peoples (@craftypeoples), who will lead a drop-in glass decoupage activity! Participants will make decoupaged abstract mountain landscape pencil cups using handmade marbled art papers and eco-friendly plant-based glue.

To take part on the activity, supply costs are:

$22 — Includes all supplies (glass cup + all materials)

$14 — Want to use your own decoupage papers or magazines? Bring your own paper (thinner is better) and everything else will be provided (glass cup, brushes, and glue)

Make additional cups for $10 each!

I’ll be playing two sets at Street Wise Arts’ Canvas Combat art battle at Boulder Creek Festival this Sunday and Monday (May 24 and 25). Sunset session on Sunday! On Monday we’re due for the championship grudge match as the Champion Canvas Combatant is selected by their audience. I’m playing that morning, followed by the one and only Iris Berkeley (Modern Jetset).
