Happy Halloween! Here’s a sound effects loop that I created for my portion of our neighborhood Halloween parade’s “spooky field.” I used a syth drone from the soundtrack for The Witch (2015), an evil laugh from Scientist Rids the World of the Evil Curse of the Vampires (1981), and a drum loop from Goblin’s “L’alba dei morti viventi (Alternate Take) (1978).”

We had a great time at Boulder’s Creekfest this weekend — our fourth year opening things up with a lil’ Dino Disco on the community stage! It’s always a great scene down there. Dancing is one of life’s great joys and it’s such a blessing to see folks laughing, dancing, and having fun with their families. Thanks for being a part of it, y’all. See you next year. <3

dr.scientist first made contact at the turn of the century, in Maryland , rocking two turntables and a sampler at Otaku Soundsystem’s legendary “Trueschler” parties before picking up residencies at Baltimore’s groundbreaking Sonar Lounge. This recording captures a live session on the University of Maryland’s WMUC in the early days of our Millennium.
